As we approach this time of year when people are back to school, leaves are turning colors, the holidays are approaching and EVERYTHING is pumpkin spice, take a few minutes to think about all the great things happening in our lives, in our work, in our teams, and in our organizations. Please celebrate those successes!
As we sip our pumpkin spice, let’s take a few minutes to think about the good things, the things that went really well and the things that we want to do better next time. Oftentimes life and work get us too busy to slow down, but now is the time and today is the today.
- Begin or continue to take at least 20-30 minutes everyday doing something you enjoy.
- Take a walk.
- Sit outside and breathe.
- Take care of yourself and stay healthy.
- Journal thoughts and dreams.
- Take a few deep breaths.
- Call a friend or family member you haven’t talked to in awhile.
- Plan an outing someplace on your bucket list.
- Visit an orchard or pumpkin patch.
Planning and busyness often consumes us this time of year. Make a commitment to yourself and those around you to enjoy this time, reconnect with family and friends, and be present for all this season has to offer. Let’s commit to doing “Fall Intentionally.”
