The nearest airport to Leicester is Birmingham (BHX). From the USA, this is most easily reached by flying to Amsterdam Schipol (AMS), Frankfurt (FRA) or Paris (CDG) and then taking the short hop to Birmingham (BHX). Alternatively, you can fly to London (LHR or LGW) and take a train to Leicester but this increases costs and travel time. There are numerous hotels in Leicester and not one specially appointed hotel for the event but a good option is Holiday Inn St. Nicholas Circus. It’s very central and is a taxi ride away from the venue. It’s also next door to the King Richard III Visitor Centre, where the monarch was laid to rest more than 500 years ago and also Leicester Cathedral. Leicester is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and multi-cultural city with two large universities.
