Summary:
Bridges connect spans of water, valleys, and roads. They link highways, railways, and pedestrian walkways, creating safe pathways from one side to the other. Healthcare leaders serve as connectors, too. They build essential links between the professionals providing patient care and those responsible for organizational operations.
Building Bridges: Leadership Principles for Department Managers is a virtual leadership development course designed to give new healthcare department managers the foundational knowledge and practical skills they need to begin building those connections with confidence.
Throughout the course, participants will explore what it means to lead within a complex healthcare environment. They will strengthen their relationships with themselves, colleagues, teams, and the patients and families their departments serve. Participants will also examine their individual leadership styles and develop skills related to communication, decision-making, performance management, and goal setting.
• 16.25 Contact hours will be awarded to individuals who complete all of the modules, attend at least 70% of the live sessions, and complete an evaluation.
• Creative Health Care Management is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
