Facilitating the Journey to Excellence: Magnet Program Director (MPD) Core Competencies

Course Starts September 24, 2021 – Virtual

This interactive virtual flipped classroom program empowers new, as well as seasoned, Journey to Excellence program leads (MPDs) with the knowledge and skill development that is essential to lead their organization, teams, and individuals to a successful ANCC Magnet® Designation.

How it works:

Using a cohort approach, participants will progress through a series of modules on their own time that consist of a combination of assigned readings, videos, and reflection questions on the various topics related to their role as lead for the journey to excellence. Each module includes a scheduled virtual live session devoted to further discussion and exploration of the topic(s) covered in the module.

Schedule:

Modules open September 24, 2021 and will be completed on participants own time.

Live discussion sessions, Fridays 12 pm CT/ 1pm ET (10 sessions):

        • October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
        • November 5, 19 *no sessions during week of Magnet conference and Thanksgiving
        • December 3, 10, 17

Post course check-ins, Mondays 12 pm CT/ 1pm ET (3 sessions):

        • January 10
        • April 11
        • July 11
